- Reviews daily defect and breakdown situations to effectively prioritize workload.
- Works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to review and plan mandatory SAP work orders on a weekly basis.
- Inspects, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs electrical and instrumentation equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Performs routine maintenance and testing on instrumentation equipment, including pressure and temperature gauges, flow meters, level indicators, and control valves.
- Installs new equipment, including wiring, mounting, programming, and testing, to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintains comprehensive records and documentation for all electrical and instrumentation equipment, including installation dates, repairs, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.
- Independently determines the best course of action for maintenance tasks within the organisations guidelines, including deciding whether to repair or replace equipment and reviewing permits to work.
- Qualifications: Time-served apprentice with a City and Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, or ONC qualification in Electrical, preferably with an instrument discipline.
- Certifications: Qualified in Hazardous Area Installations (COMPEX).
- Experience: A minimum of two years of maintenance experience in a chemically related process plant.
- Skills:Proficient in keyboard skills and computer literacy.
