We have an exciting opportunity with one of our prestigious clients.

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Inspector.

The job purpose is:

Inspect, monitor, and ensure the quality and compliance of mechanical installations, including: Heating systems upgrades. Heat interface units (HIUs). Heat metering systems. Gas boiler replacements. Low carbon solutions such as heat pumps and related technologies.
Verify that all work aligns with technical specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Liaise with contractors, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless delivery of projects within the agreed timeframe and budget. Identify and report defects, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
Conduct regular site visits and prepare detailed inspection reports. Support the integration of innovative, sustainable technologies aimed at reducing carbon emissions. Key Skills and Experience Required: Proven experience in mechanical inspections within a capital works or retrofit programme.
Strong knowledge of heating systems, including gas boilers, HIUs, and heat pumps. Familiarity with low-carbon technologies and sustainable building practices.
Excellent understanding of compliance standards, building regulations, and health & safety requirements. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.

This is a full time role working Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00

A van will be provided to carry out site inspections.
