A great new opportunity has arisen for a Planned Works Supervisor to join a social housing provider on a temporary to permanent basis based in North West London. The successful candidate will be supplied with a van and fuel card.
Pay Rate:

  • 30ph (umbrella rate)


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Excellent knowledge of Planned repairs and maintenance services in housing, to include building regulations, legislation, health & safety, best practice, and Schedule of rate codes (SOR).
  • HHSRS and General damp, structural and building diagnostic knowledge (minimum 5 years).
  • Carry out inspections on their own to diagnose findings.
  • Manage the delivery of Planned repair works - identifying repairs, faults and issues , scoping and raising specifications, technical advice, monitoring progress on and off-site, raising orders and approving/rejecting variations on SOR codes, undertaking pre, mid and post-inspections, managing work in progress (WIP), expenditure and key performance indicators (KPIs) within agreed parameters.
  • Line-manage a team of sub-contractors and operatives, overseeing their performance, inspecting their work, and providing accurate technical advice to resolve day-to-day issues.
  • To complete additional tasks to support the effective operation of the Planned team and/or other teams within the business. This may include but is not limited to handling internal/external queries, preparing documents and reports, and completing activities for pre-site meetings, checking for Asbestos surveys (or similar surveys), supporting the team to cover annual leave, training, or sickness.
  • IT experience of the use of computer, tablet, and PDA.
