To support the Rail Plant Support Engineer in the development of a robust renewals programme and plan for the Network Rail High Speed Rail Plant fleet and draft the necessary Technical Work Scopes for the replacement assets.

1. Develop and draft a CP4 and 40 Year renewal programme /plan for the entire Network Rail High Speed Rail Plant fleet.2. Provide detailed input for compilation of the business plan and production of programme / project plans.3. Manage / work in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams including commercial, programmecontrols, engineering, and others to identify solutions to client requirements and establish a robust baseline plan.4. Consult and agree programme / plan with HS1 Ltd and key stakeholders.5. Develop and draft Technical Work scopes for all Rail Plant renewals planned to commence within CP4.6. Provide technical advice and guidance on Rail Plant and equipment, including liaison with external and internal stakeholders and suppliers.7. Liaise with external suppliers and maintenance providers of Rail Plant and equipment as required.8. Provide the focus for technical support for all Rail Plant renewals.9. Liaise with specialist engineers for Rail Plant and equipment technical and compliance requirements.10. Monitor design and specialist consultants and contractors.11. Identify and monitor risks (threats and opportunities), plan and implement mitigations to them, andrespond to other issues that may affect Rail Plant renewals.12. Carry out the duties of designated project engineer (DPE) if required.

Essential* HND/HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.* Extensive experience in the rail industry, dealing with plant and/or rail vehicles.* Ability to develop and author technical specificationsMUST HAVE Extensive experience in the Rail Plant
