We are looking for a MaintenanceEngineer/Technician on a permanent basis in North East London for a leading Rolling Stock manufacturing company.

You will carry out Fault finding and repairs on state of the art trains, with a salary of 54,900pa (including shift allowance), the role is based on permanent Night shifts.

The successful candidate will be level 3 qualified or equivalent ideally with an electrical bias and have good fault finding experience.

This will consist of such tasks as:
  • Undertaking Fault finding and the associated repair thereof
  • Provides assistance and technical feedback to the management team
  • Observes all the rules and regulations related to health and safety practices, including a tidy workplace and disposing of substances with a high environmental impact.
  • Undertake and provide support across the business for all condition monitoring and manually monitored systems.
  • Carry out in house repairs of unserviceable equipment to reduce waste and increase efficiency in repair times on units
  • Maintain stock levels and stock checks on site through booking our parts on asset management system and communications with depot management teams

Candidate profile:
  • Served a recognised apprenticeship to minimum City and Guilds / BTEC level with Mechanical / Electrical / electronic bias
  • Able to read electrical/mechanical schematics competently.
  • Ability to work in a pressurised environment and make decisions to tight deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate commitment to maintaining professional knowledge and ensure the depth of their specialist knowledge is maintained.
  • Can demonstrate a customer driven attitude focused on quality.
