Materials Performance Technician

Location: London Eurostar, E10 5YA

Salary: 215.00 per day PAYE (Inside IR35)

Duration: 6 months initial, potential for extension or permanent.

Role Description:
Monitor control and generate Key Performance Indicators on the repair loop quality and performance. Update and KPI the repair reports database. Implement and maintain a closer link between the train performance and the repaired materials. Control that the outgoing materials have a clear failure description attached and a serial number. Control and challenge the suppliers on the quality of the repair reports that they provide and ensure that the scope of the repairs meet the required needs. Monitor and flag endangering consumption trends. Quarantine and return to good stock materials based on work orders data and data generated by the trains (i.e. defect codes). Analyze and close non-conformance of materials previously repaired. Schedule on-train testing of parts if required.

Functions:
* Control and challenge the failure description of outgoing materials and the information in the repair reports from OEMs
* Work reports and train data checks to review defective components (quarantine and return to good stock materials. Est: 10% of the volume)
* Link between performance and materials: Monitor materials involved in performance incidents.
* Schedule on-train testing if required
* Monitor Consumption Trends (USD reduction proactive approach)
* Root cause analysis and rectification for NCMs
* Update and KPI the repair report database.
* KPI the improvements on all these areas

Rolling Stock related technical background.

Minimum 3-5 years of depot work or

Maintenance Engineer Level 3.

Experience in depot work environment.

IT skills (user level).

Experience in Excel.

Experience in BI tools (desirable).

Experience in stores processes (desirable).
