Job Title: Senior Mechanical TechnicianJob Type: Temporary - OngoingLocation: Edmonton, N18Pay Rate: £34.14 per hourShifts: 12-hour shifts (Day: 06:00 - 18:00; Night: 18:00 - 06:00)Flexibility Required: Must cover various shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.Start Date: Immediate (includes comprehensive induction and training).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and maintain production lines and machinery for optimal performance.
  • Support product change-overs and critical cleaning processes.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns.
  • Conduct routine quality inspections and safety checks.
  • Mentor junior technicians and ensure adherence to maintenance plans.
  • Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in waste segregation and identify recycling opportunities.
  • Engage in effective shift hand-overs and contribute to team briefings.
  • Assist with maintenance of utilities supporting production.
  • Utilize Maintenance Management System (SAPPM) for tracking and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a technical role, preferably in manufacturing or the beverage industry.
  • Proficient in operating and troubleshooting machinery; knowledge of automation is a plus.
  • Relevant technical degree or certifications (mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering).
  • Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration and training.
  • Ability to follow safety standards and compliance regulations.
  • Experience with Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., SAPPM) and basic Microsoft Office.
