We are working exclusively with an excellent chilled food manufacturing business who are going through a really exciting period of growth. As a result they are looking to appointed a talented Technical Manager at their site in London!

On offer:

  • Salary is 50,000 - 60,000 doe
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays

The Role

  • Reporting to the Technical Director, the Technical manager will be responsible for ensuring all products produced are safe, legal and to the specified quality.
  • Key responsibilities;
  • Lead BRC audits as well and ensuring the businesses excellent accreditation is maintained
  • Lead all customer and internal auditing and produce accurate supportive documentation
  • Responsibility for building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers to ensure their technical and quality standards and needs are met and exceeded at all times.
  • Manage QMS , document and food safety systems
  • Responsible for managing the Quality and Hygiene team and ensuring a safe environment for food manufacturing.
  • Have a fully understanding and be knowledgeable with all traceability systems and requirements.
  • Take corrective actions for all non conformances.
  • Conduct product inspections and quality control testing.
  • Implementation and overseeing GMP, HACCP, microbiological and QC checks.
  • Training of staff in food hygiene, assessing staff competency and fostering a culture of food safety.

Candidate requirements

  • Hold a degree in a food science or similar
  • A good working knowledge of BRCGS version 9
  • Lead Auditor
  • HACCP level 3+
  • Knowledge of key legislation relating to the food industry
  • Organised and able to work to deadlines
  • Enthusiasm for fostering a culture of Food Safety
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office knowledge
