Category Technical Manager

Central London

£55,000- £60,000

Once in a while as a recruiter you get an opportunity to work with a business who really do stand out from all the rest. And on this sunny afternoon we have been blessed with just that. Now all I need to do is share the excitement with someone else...you, hopefully!

I am working with a hugely recognisable brand whose HQ are Central London based. They are looking for a Category Technical Manager, while the team is small (just one report) the opportunity is huge given where these sit in the market.

Day to day responsibilities will vary, but typically see you responsible for analysing complaint trends, driving improvements for all suppliers with building strong relationships and creating strategic technical plans with the rest of the technical team.

For this one it isn't a factory facing position so with that comes the perk of working from home a couple of days a week, the person who will be reporting to you and learning from your wisdom is a very switched on individual with their feet fully on the ground.

You will need to have a strong retailer understanding as well as knowing how to react to an incident that could completely throw your original day plan. Having an understanding of artwork approvals and processes.

Could be an opportunity for an existing QA Manager, a Technical Services Manager or a Technical Manager looking to get away from the manufacturing side of the industry. Ideally you'll have a food background with 5+ years experience, but if there is anything I have learnt is the fact we have to provide options so don't let the 'ideals' put you off if you wanted to hear more just apply and I will be in touch.
