Welding Inspector- North London

To £75,000 DOE + £5,000 Travel Allowance + Living Allowance + Accommodation + Car + Benefits

We are assisting a leading contractor in their search for an experienced and highly skilled NDT Welding Inspector to join a team in North London. As NDT Welding Inspector you will be conducting and interpreting various non-destructive tests involving rigorous inspection of welded structures, pipes, and other metal components, as an ideal candidate, you have an experience in NDT techniques and preferably possess experience in data centres, candidates with backgrounds in Oil & Gas or petrochemical industries are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and schedule inspection activities.

  • Perform non-destructive testing using up to date methods including interpreting and evaluating test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.

  • Monitor and evaluate welding and testing equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.

  • Verify weld quality by performing pre-weld, in-process, and post-weld inspections ensuring compliance with quality, design, and industry requirements.

  • Maintain accurate & complete records of inspections ensuring all inspection activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and relevant industry standards.

  • Participate in project meetings to discuss inspection results and suggest corrective actions if necessary.

  • Proven experience as an NDT Welding Inspector, with a strong understanding of various NDT techniques.

  • Experience in the data centre environment is a significant advantage, Oil & Gas or petrochemical background are also desirable.

  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, welding symbols, and NDT codes/standards.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and present inspection findings.

  • High level of accuracy in inspecting and evaluating welds.
