Duties

To provide secretarial & administrative support, assisting in providing a high quality of service helping to ensure our patients receive the best possible care

  • Answer the telephones & dealing with enquires in a timely & efficient manner
  • Taking messages
  • Emailing
  • Dealing with correspondence
  • Registration of patients, filing and maintaining accurate medical records
  • Prioritise work to ensure deadlines are met
  • Use DGL Practice Manager computer system to register/update/obtain patients information
  • Organizing and maintaining paper & electronic files
  • Liaise with consultants & secretaries and all other agencies to ensure the smooth running of clinics
  • Arrange appointments, procedures & tests, liaising with internal & external departments
  • Preparing the clinics, ensuring lists are faxed/emailed to the relevant locations
  • Ensuring the Practice Manager is kept informed of all issues relating to the clinics
  • Ensuring the Practice Manager is kept informed of any complaints
  • Taking appointment deposit payments over the phone via credit card machine
  • Diary management
  • Audio typing, data entry
  • Patients queries - prescriptions, test results etc
  • Multitasking and flexibility
