Role Overview

As a Medical Personal Assistant, you will provide outstanding PA and secretarial support to our Consultants. Your responsibilities will include coordinating schedules, managing workloads, and ensuring a seamless clinic experience for both patients and medical staff. If you possess strong interpersonal skills and thrive in a dynamic setting, this role is perfect for you!

Duties and Responsibilities

Your principal duty will be to deliver efficient secretarial support to the Consultant daily. Detailed duties include:

  • Patient Management: Maintain oversight of the Consultant's patient caseload and ensure all administrative tasks are completed according to our high service standards.
  • First Point of Contact: Act as the first contact for patients, booking appointments, addressing queries, and relaying messages.
  • Communication: Handle telephone and email inquiries professionally, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Documentation: Prepare patient results for review, ensuring all relevant documentation is ready ahead of clinic lists.
  • Diary Management: Coordinate the Consultant's diary to ensure smooth operation and workflow.
  • Cross-Cover Support: Provide backup for other areas during absences and holidays.
  • Process Improvement: Regularly assess working practises for potential efficiency improvements.

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Have a minimum of two years' experience as a Medical Secretary in a team-oriented environment.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Respect confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanour at all times.
  • Be highly proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and other systems.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to prioritise work independently.
  • Exhibit strong organisational skills with attention to detail.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Familiarity with MediTEX and MidexPro is advantageous but not essential.
