Job Title: R&D Engineer
Location: London    Start Date: Immediate

Overview:
We’re hiring an R&D Engineer to join a fast-growing, multidisciplinary team developing next-generation cardiovascular diagnostic technology. This is a hands-on role focused on microscale optical systems within a regulated medical device environment. You’ll support everything from lab-based assembly and testing through to verification, validation, and scale-up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test high-precision optical components and medical device subassemblies

  • Accurately document procedures, test outcomes, and technical findings

  • Contribute to design verification and validation (V&V) testing activities

  • Maintain lab equipment and support a safe, organised working environment

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field

  • Hands-on experience in assembly, prototyping, or lab work (any industry)

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow quality processes (ISO 13485 experience is a plus, but training can be provided)

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
