Practice Manager - Community Locality Mental Health Team
Salary: 54,684 - 64,032 per annum
Location: Westminster, London
Contract: Fixed-term (12 months)

We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Practice Manager to lead the Community Locality Mental Health Team at Westminster City Council. In this key role, you will manage a team responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs. You will ensure that all services comply with the Care Act, Mental Health Act, and safeguarding standards, while managing a caseload of complex and high-risk cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high standards of service delivery and professional practice.
  • Oversee complex mental health assessments, care planning, and safeguarding interventions to ensure positive outcomes for service users.
  • Take responsibility for managing high-risk cases, providing guidance to the team and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including health professionals, housing providers, and voluntary organisations, to ensure coordinated care and support.
  • Manage performance, conduct appraisals, and ensure ongoing professional development for team members.
  • Lead on service improvements, implementing strategies that enhance care delivery and meet the needs of vulnerable adults.
  • Ensure that the team adheres to adult social care legislation and mental health legislation, as well as internal policies and procedures.

About You:
You will have substantial experience in managing adult social care or mental health services, with a solid understanding of mental health legislation and safeguarding practices. Your leadership skills will enable you to drive team performance and foster a positive, collaborative environment. You will be adept at managing complex situations and providing guidance to staff, ensuring the delivery of person-centred care.
