Practice Manager
Location: North London
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

COREcruitment is working with a multi-site dental practice! They are recruiting for a Practice Manager plays a pivotal role in the efficient and smooth running of the dental practice, ensuring high standards of patient care, operational efficiency, and team management. You will oversee the day-to-day management of the clinic, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and managing both the clinical and administrative teams.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving processes, and ensuring a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
• Oversee the daily operations of the practice, ensuring it runs efficiently and effectively.
• Implement and manage systems to ensure the smooth scheduling of appointments and patient care.
• Monitor and manage practice resources, including dental supplies and equipment.
• Ensure the clinic complies with all health and safety regulations, as well as CQC standards.
Financial Management:
• Manage the practice's budget, including tracking income, expenses, and financial performance.
• Prepare financial reports for senior management and ensure proper billing and invoicing systems are in place.
• Oversee payroll, banking, and invoicing activities, liaising with external accountants as needed.
Team Leadership and HR:
• Lead and manage a team of dental professionals and administrative staff.
• Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management for the team.
• Create and maintain staff schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage during all operating hours.
• Conduct regular team meetings, ensuring clear communication of practice goals and updates.
• Promote a positive working environment and handle any HR-related issues.
Patient Care and Customer Service:
• Ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction by maintaining professional standards and addressing any patient concerns.
• Act as a point of contact for escalated patient issues or complaints and ensure they are resolved efficiently.
• Promote the practice's services to enhance patient retention and attract new clients.
Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., CQC, GDC) and industry standards.
• Oversee infection control procedures and health and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with data protection regulations (GDPR).
Business Development and Marketing:
• Identify opportunities for business growth and work with the senior management team to implement strategies.
• Oversee the marketing activities for the practice, including social media, advertising, and patient communications.
• Manage the patient recall system and encourage patient engagement and referrals.
Technology and System Management:
• Oversee the use of practice management software and systems (e.g., R4, SOE) to ensure they are fully utilised, and staff are trained.
• Implement technological solutions to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:
• Degree in business management, healthcare management, or a related field (preferred).
• Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the dental or healthcare sector.

Experience and Knowledge:
• Proven experience managing a busy dental practice, healthcare setting, or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, including CQC requirements, GDPR, and health and safety standards.
• Experience in financial management, including budgeting and profit & loss management.
• Knowledge of dental practice software and patient management systems (e.g., R4, SOE).

Salary and Benefits:
• Salary: £35,000 - £40,000, based on experience.
• Hours: Monday to Friday (occasional weekend work may be required).
