The Role:The successful Practice Manager (Office Manager, Business Support Manager or similar) will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operations of First Wealth Financial Planning run smoothly, implementing strategy and taking charge of creating an efficient and inspiring work environment. From managing the vibrant office space to supporting compliance, payroll, and financial processes, your work will keep the team and clients supported. Youll also take on HR responsibilities, including onboarding, benefits and communications, working alongside a collaborative and innovative group of professionals who share a passion for making a difference.

The Person: The Practice Manager will have proven experience gained in a varied and responsible role working as Practice Manager, Office Manager, Business Support Manager or similar. You will be proactive, well organised, a strong communicator and a collaborative team player and will demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and integrity, aligning closely with First Wealths values of Excellence Ambition Respect - Optimism - Helping Others.

Salary and Benefits: Basic salary £50-65,000 (dependant on experience) + an exceptional benefits package including 8% pension, profit share, income protection benefit, 5 x salary death in service, up to 30 days holiday (increasing with length of service, plus the option to buy/sell holiday) + 8 days bank holiday + hybrid working + well-being benefit + option for paid sabbatical after 5 years service etc.

Practice Manager (Office Manager, Business Support Manager), Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage all office facilities and equipment, overseeing service contracts, liaising with 3rd party support and efficiently resolving any office related issues that arise.
  • Organise and manage office schedules (meeting room bookings, IT equipment usage etc).
  • Manage the onboarding process for new joiners, supporting the Heads of Department as appropriate.
  • Oversee monthly payroll, working with the external provider to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Administer employee benefits and wellness programs.
  • Maintain accurate HR records related to annual leave, absences, hybrid working etc.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to organise client events and promotional activities, representing the company at industry events as appropriate.
  • Coordinate company events, such as team-building days, staff celebrations, client seminars etc.
  • Oversee the finance function ensuring adherence to financial regulations, liaising with external accountants for monthly returns and preparation of annual accounts and managing invoices, payments, expense claims and petty cash.
  • Oversee compliance, including document preparation for audits and regulatory reporting, GDPR and health and safety compliance

Practice Manager (Office Manager, Business Support Manager), Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, adept at managing a wide range of responsibilities across office management, finance, HR etc.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention, ensuring compliance with regulations and accuracy in administrative tasks.
  • Flexible and proactive, with the ability to manage deadlines and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong relationship builder and collaborative team player, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intelligent, numerate and possessing a strong aptitude for technology, with a willingness to learn new systems and embrace change.
