We need a customer focussed Account Director with experience of successfully managing large complex accounts to join our high performing commercial team as we strive to "win in water". The Account Director is responsible for managing and maintaining a client relationship, ensuring strong customer satisfaction, and delivering the forecast budget. The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, along with a strong understanding of the industry and market trends and a focus on customer satisfaction.

The role

  • Strategic management of a named existing customers, develop and execute strategic account plan
  • Oversee end to end relationship, maximise value, customer satisfaction and retention levels
  • Leading and motivating a matrix team to achieve high performance and meet deadlines
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels, understanding their needs, and managing expectations
  • Identify growth opportunities for upselling and expanding existing services and cross sell of new services - working in collaboration with the business development team
  • Deliver revenue targets and budget expectations
  • Securing favourable terms and working through issues conflicts with customers
  • Monitor health of customer relationship, use data and feedback to understand customer outcomes and engagement levels
  • Report on customer insights, provide insights and trends to internal and leadership teams

The person

  • Extensive knowledge of in life management of customers with experience in an OJEU environment (ideally with experience in utility vertical)
  • Comfortable creating and presenting updates and solutions to the customer up to and including C-Suite and being the voice of the customer
  • Strong focus on achieving customer outcomes and delivering value to clients and the organisation
  • Demonstrated success in achieving targets and negotiating contracts
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers and internal teams to promote retention and loyalty
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively address and resolve escalated customer issues, ability to think strategically and solve complex customer issues
  • Analyse customer data to identify trends, needs and areas of improvement
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and the ability to understand and meet and exceed customer needs
  • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term account strategies
  • Ability to collaborate with business development, marketing, product and service to ensure unified customer experience
