Membership Coordinator 

Location: Hybrid (Work From Home and Central Office as Directed)
Hours: Full-time, 5 days a week, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Rate: £14 per hour
Duration: 3 months

Harris Hill is delighted to be recruiting for a Membership Coordinator on behalf of a renowned cultural institution. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual to support the delivery of a high-quality membership programme while providing exceptional customer service.

Role Overview

The Membership Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the membership programme, including sales, service, and member engagement. The role involves liaising across multiple channels to ensure outstanding experiences for current and prospective members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Membership Officer to manage the administration of the membership programme.
  • Act as the main point of contact for membership inquiries, delivering exceptional customer service across in-person, telephone, and email channels.
  • Maintain accurate membership records, ensuring compliance with GDPR and internal policies. This includes processing Direct Debits and Gift Aid declarations.
  • Provide operational support for onsite membership recruitment activities during temporary exhibitions.
  • Assist in producing and distributing marketing collateral (digital and print), including proofreading, liaising with suppliers, and coordinating mailings.
  • Monitor stock levels of membership marketing materials and prepare welcome packs for new members.
  • Support the Membership Team with general administration, including tracking expenditure and ensuring accurate recording of invoices.
  • Undertake additional duties aligned with the role’s scope and the organisation’s needs.
Onsite Working Requirements

The role includes onsite working at the organisation’s central London office (Somerset House, WC2R 0RN) on the following days:

  • Week of 23rd December:
    • Mon 23rd, Tues 24th, and Fri 27th
  • Week of 30th December:
    • Mon 30th, Tues 31st, Thurs 2nd, and Fri 3rd
  • Week of 6th January:
    • Mon 6th and Tues 7th
General Requirements
  • Comply with all organisational policies, including Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety.
  • Be adaptable to the evolving needs of the department, embracing changes in the job’s scope.
About You

You are a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience with membership programmes or databases, such as Tessitura, would be advantageous but is not essential.
