Wehave an exciting opportunityavailable for a Programme Coordinator to join one of the world’s leading research Institutes at a crucial time in its evolution, and play a definitive role in shaping it for the future. You will join us on afull time (or possibly 0.8 FTE) fixed-term position until December 2025, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary from £27,000 per annum, subject to skills and experience.

The Programme Coordinator role:

The KQ Labs accelerator programme, an initiative delivered by the Francis Crick Institute, is seeking a highly organised and proactive Coordinator to support the efficient operation of its accelerator programme. This role requires an individual with strong operational skills, and the ability to represent KQ Labs while facilitating the delivery of a world-class accelerator programme. You will be part of a driven, energetic, and agile team.

The role is centred around providing vital coordination and support to ensure the successful delivery of our accelerator programme. You will collaborate in guiding the cohort through the next curriculum, coordinate legal administration and manage impact reporting, and support event logistics, marketing and operations.

Since its inception in 2018, KQ Labs has been committed to developing a network of startups at the intersection of data science and biomedical research. Our tailored five-month programme includes expert workshops, funding opportunities, skills training, and strategic networking, culminating in a Demo Day where startups connect with investors and industry leaders.

Responsibilities of our Programme Coordinator:

These include but are not limited to: 

  • Provide proactive and effective coordination support to the KQ Labs team, ensuring seamless operations of the accelerator programme and curriculum
  • Manage legal administration tasks to process the £40k convertible loans, including document management and liaising signatures with various stakeholders
  • Manage and update spreadsheets on our impact, conduct research to keep financial data on our alumni current, and produce charts and summaries based on that information for the KQ Labs team and stakeholders
  • Support the Events and Community Officer with logistical and operational support for KQ Labs events and community management
  • Attend all curriculum events to ensure smooth execution and a positive experience for all attendees
  • Support marketing and outreach efforts, including posting on social media to enhance our brand presence and engage with the community
  • Efficiently process invoices, expenses, payments and finances
  • Answer queries, compose and answer routine correspondence, type and proofread/format documents on request

Skills and experience we are looking for in our Programme Coordinator:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in the face of competing priorities
  • Demonstrable ability to manage large volumes of data and produce reports with that information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to show initiative and management of own workload
  • Demonstrable ability to efficiently manage multiple, concurrent activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous administrative experience including exceptional time management skills and attention to detail
  •  Proficiency in MS Office and excellent administrative and IT skills
  • The ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner
