Oliver James are partnered with a Global leader within the Insurance industry, who are recruiting for a 2nd Line Assurance Analyst to join their London office. For this role, you will be required to work in the office 2 days a week and 3 days at home.

This role will report directly into the Audit Manager, where you will be supporting the wider compliance team on the investment side of the business.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in assurance from an insurance or financial background, who are looking to develop their skills and advance their careers in the insurance industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in ongoing compliance monitoring tasks.
  • Develop the second line assurance plan framework.
  • Plan risk- based thematic reviews and risk assurance.
  • Be the main point of contact for compliance monitoring.
  • Monitoring investment activity internally and externally.
  • Support on advisory.
  • Managing the investment inbox and complete ad- hoc duties for the department.

Key Skills:

  • Experience working within assurance in insurance or financial services.
  • Experience working on risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of investment compliance within insurance is ideal.
  • A strong ability to multitask and act as the point of contact for senior management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
