We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Children’s Community Nurse to join our team, providing high-quality nursing care to children and young people with acute, complex, or long-term conditions in their homes and community settings.
This is a rewarding role where you’ll support families and promote holistic care outside of the hospital environment—helping children thrive in familiar surroundings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver nursing care to children with a range of needs including enteral feeding, tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, palliative care, and complex medication regimes
• Work in partnership with families, empowering them to care for their child safely and confidently
• Coordinate care and communicate with GPs, hospital teams, schools, and social care services
• Monitor clinical signs and respond to changes in condition
• Support with hospital discharges and care transitions to the community
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Requirements:
• NMC-registered Children’s Nurse (RNC)
• Experience in pediatric nursing, ideally in a community or acute setting
• Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills
• Understanding of safeguarding and family-centered care
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
• Confidence working autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
We Offer:
• A supportive team environment with strong clinical supervision
• Ongoing CPD and specialist training opportunities
• Flexible working patterns
• NHS pension and competitive salary package
• The chance to build long-term relationships and make a meaningful impact on children’s lives
If you’re passionate about delivering nursing care that keeps children safe and supported at home, we’d love to hear from you.
