Role: Production Scheduler (planner)

PLEASE NOTE: This role in onsite at Acton Works 5 days a week. No hybrid option. 

Rates: £25.15 + 16.59% holiday PAYE or £33.35 umbrella

Our client in the rail sector are looking to recruit a Production Scheduler on a large rolling stock overhaul project. 

Below are the typical tasks that our client would like the production scheduler to carry out. The role will require a presence on the shop floor and stores etc in addition to the time in the office:

  • Maintain Excel spreadsheets including collecting data for entry e.g. train records and serial numbers etc.
          • Use of SAP for Check stock and material availability
          • Raise pick lists
          • Raise Production Works orders
          • Despatch orders
          • Enter Timesheet allocations
          • Create shopping carts
  • General admin duties
  • Liaise with other departments for required information on materials equipment etc
  • Assist in organising work areas for optimum production flow

This is not an exhaustive list but gives an insight on typical tasks.

Skills and Experience:

Strong communication, liaison and interpersonal skills.
Excellent planning and organisation skills coupled with the ability to multi-task.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good numerical reasoning skills.
Self–motivated and willing to learn.
Time management skills.

Proven experience of planning, organisational skills and attention to detail

Experience of working under pressure and dealing with competing demands.

Experience of conducting research and summarising information from different and conflicting sources.
