I am recruiting for a leading UK laundry service provider. They have a turnover of over £3.58 billion a year and are constantly growing at a fast pace. The next step is for you to become one of the important maintenance engineers at the site in Brixton.
The current engineers are hardworking and passionate with a focus on continuous improvement and dedication to the job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure company vision, values, and policies are always upheld.
- Support the engineering team with mentoring and adherence to procedures (PPMs, SSOWs, etc.).
- Assist with compliance for fire systems, PAT, pressure valves, and safety regulations.
- Contribute to risk assessments, accident prevention, and continuous workplace improvements.
- Plan and coordinate resources for maintenance and unplanned issues.
- Liaise with suppliers for parts and machinery procurement.
- Deliver training on new equipment and ensure safe operational practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in engineering operations.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to support and mentor a team.
Experience:
- Proven experience of industrial maintenance or production.
- Operational maintenance experience (hands on) would be preferred.
- 2 years Team leader experience or CMI level 3 (desirable).
- Experience in applying and implementing LEAN manufacturing systems (desirable).
