Senior Process Engineer (Anaerobic Digestion)

Location: London (Hybrid, 2-3 days office-based per week)

Toro Recruitment is partnering with an biofuel company specialising in the design, construction, and operation of biogas plants to find a Senior Process Engineer to join their technical team.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Process Engineer:

  • Provide strong technical expertise and background in anaerobic digestion, with experience in designing anaerobic digestion plants.
  • Oversee and manage the process throughout the detailed design phase in collaboration with the preferred technology partner.
  • Ensure smooth execution of technical and detailed design phases, acting as a liaison between the technology partner, internal technical team, and senior management.
  • Oversee and manage at least one or two projects, while the existing team handles others.
  • Adapt quickly to project details and technical aspects, stepping in to drive the process effectively.
  • Work closely with the team to finalize the technology and EPC partners, ensuring alignment with previously developed preliminary designs.
  • Support the fast-tracked timeline, ensuring detailed design is completed over the summer in preparation for construction commencement later this year or early next year.

Project Background & Expectations:

  • The company has been working on these projects for several years, with a well-developed preliminary design already in place.
  • The detailed design phase will be primarily led internally, with the technology partner making only minor adjustments.
  • The role requires a high level of technical proficiency or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to the project's specific requirements.
  • The successful candidate must be capable of hitting the ground running, taking ownership of the design management process.
