Mobile Engineer - Tail Lift & Shutter Repairs | London | Full-Time | £35,000 - £45,000 OTE (including overtime)

Double 4 Ltd is looking for a reliable and motivated Mobile Engineer to join our team. With over 40 years of experience, we are one of the leading tail lift and shutter repair companies in the Southeast. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and are seeking someone who shares our passion for quality and efficiency.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Good knowledge and understanding of electrical fault finding
  • Mechanically minded with experience in diagnosing and repairing faults
  • Experience with vehicle tail lifts (preferred)
  • Experience in vehicle maintenance, vehicle recovery, plant machinery, rail, forklifts, or other associated industries (considered)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work safely and comply with health & safety legislation and company procedures
  • Flexibility to be on a call-out rota, including evenings and weekends
  • Good communication skills and the ability to complete paperwork via PDA systems

What will your role look like?

As a Mobile Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out maintenance and repairs on a variety of tail lifts and shutter
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults
  • Performing Service / LOLER & Annual Weight testing
  • Completing paperwork via a PDA, including service sheets using our online systems
  • Adhering to health and safety legislation and company procedures at all times
  • Being on a call-out rota to attend breakdowns, including weekends and evenings
