A leading Facilities Management service provider is seeking an experienced and versatile Mobile Multi-Skilled Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their engineering team. The successful candidate will be overseeing a portfolio of 8-10 commercial office spaces in the City of London / West End of London. Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on both electrical and mechanical systems across the static site and other mobile locations.
- Carry out maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, and minor installations on:
- Electrical power distribution systems
- Lighting & emergency lighting
- HVAC systems (fan coils, AHUs, pumps)
- Basic plumbing systems (hot/cold water, drainage)
- General fabric maintenance tasks
- Complete electrical testing, inspections, and fault diagnosis, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
- Work closely with on-site client representatives and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service delivery and minimal disruption to building operations.
- Accurately complete compliance documentation, service reports, and risk assessments.
- Ensure all work is conducted safely and in accordance with health & safety legislation and company policies.
- Collaborate with the wider engineering and support teams to ensure seamless FM service provision.
Key Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) - Essential.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) - Essential.
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled M&E maintenance role, ideally within a commercial FM or building services environment.
- Strong capability in electrical fault-finding, testing, inspection, and repair.
- Competence in basic mechanical systems maintenance, including HVAC and plumbing.
- Experience in general building fabric maintenance tasks is highly desirable.
- Full UK Driving License with no more than 6 points - Essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional, client-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently, manage workloads, and remain flexible when covering multiple sites.
- Strong commitment to health & safety and compliance.
