Are you a dedicated SEND Teacher with experience in supporting students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD)?

Principal Education is currently recruiting a qualified SEND Teacher for an immediate start at a secondary school in Newham. The role involves teaching a small class of 5 students, where you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of a tailored and supportive learning experience for each pupil.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality education to a class of 5 students with PMLD.
  • Providing support for non-verbal students and implementing communication strategies.
  • Assisting with personal care tasks where required, maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
  • Creating and adapting lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each student.
  • Collaborating with the support staff, families, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the students.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and contributing to reviews and assessments.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with PMLD, non-verbal communication, and personal care needs.
  • Strong understanding of SEND strategies and tailored educational approaches.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to making a positive impact on students’ lives.
