HLTA Role Overview
- Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
- Salary: £25,000
- Start Date: January 2025, continuing until July 2025
- Location: Hammersmith & Fulham, within an Outstanding-rated Primary School
- Development: Comprehensive training, CPD opportunities, and hands-on teaching experience to prepare for teacher training in September 2025.
- A First-Class or Upper Second-Class (2:1) degree in any discipline from a top UK university.
- Previous experience working with children in any capacity (e.g., tutoring, volunteering, childcare).
- A genuine passion for teaching and supporting young learners.
- Strong academic background, including excellent GCSE and A-Level results.
- The confidence to lead small group sessions and occasionally cover lessons independently.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Lead small group interventions and support pupils on a 1:1 basis where required.
- Take responsibility for planning and delivering activities during teacher absence.
- Play a key role in supporting childrens academic progress and emotional development.
- Gain practical classroom experience while developing essential skills for your teaching career.
