Job Summary

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Respond to prospective client enquiries about Mortgage and Protection products
  • Build relationships with existing clients and develop a portfolio of new clients
  • Completion of a comprehensive Fact Find
  • Advising clients on the homebuying process and managing expectations
  • Explaining the different types of mortgage and providing suitable, tailored advice to clients
  • Explaining and selling mortgage, income protection, Life, CIC, IP and Household protection products
  • Sourcing mortgages and quotations associated with life insurance, CIC and income protection
  • Reviewing a number of mortgage options for the client to compare
  • Preparation of accurate Suitability reports
  • Managing mortgage and protection cases, from packaging and submission to completion
  • Submitting documents and keeping clients informed with regular case updates
  • Dealing with estate agents, valuers and mortgage lenders to ensure business is processed smoothly
  • Liaising with and managing solicitors and legal teams whenever necessary
  • Keeping up-to-date with new products and lending criteria
  • Offer Subject Matter Expertise to fellow Financial Advisers
  • Ensuring cases adhere to both FCA and Openwork’s compliance and regulation
  • Submission of data to Concert
  • Meeting sales targets
  • Contribute to the development of the business
  • Maintain awareness of the latest regulatory changes
  • Completion of continuing professional development (CPD) each year as required to meet compliance requirements
  • Maintaining and reporting accurate information such as Pipeline reports
  • Upholding the professional reputation of the business at all times
  • Providing assistance with any task for which the jobholder is qualified by way of knowledge and experience

  • The ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
  • IT literate, especially in MS office and Concert (training will be provided on Concert)

Qualifications & experience

You must be R01, R05, CeMAP/CF6 and ER1 qualified with at least three years’ experience in a similar role.
