We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join this Client, a well-established secondary school in Tower Hamlets, from the Summer term, leading to a permanent contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher looking to make a positive impact in a vibrant school community.

As a Music Teacher at this Client, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will inspire students to develop a love for music while ensuring they achieve their academic potential. You will also work closely with other departments, participating in extracurricular activities and supporting the development of the school's music program.

  • Teaching Key Stage 3 & 4 Music: You will be required to deliver lessons that focus on practical music-making, music theory, and appreciation.
  • Classroom Management: Ensuring a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
  • Curriculum Development: Contributing to the ongoing development of the music curriculum to meet the needs of all students.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities: Encouraging student participation in school music events and performances.
  • Effective Assessment: Monitoring and assessing student progress to ensure high standards are maintained.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Music or a related subject.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and experience teaching Key Stage 3 & 4 Music.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching music.
  • Ability to work well in a team and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Experience in managing behaviour effectively and creating a positive learning environment.
