Tradewind are delighted to be supporting a 11-18, modern secondary school in Redbridge have asked me to support with their recruitment for a Music Teacher to join them in January until the end of the academic year. The contract is for maternity cover and will see you undertake a Music and General Cover timetable in place of the practitioner who is Subject Lead.
The school has thrived over the past three years, with developments to the grounds and infrastructure as well as well-resourced departments having a positive impact on attainment. Music is a slightly smaller department, with 3 members of staff teaching. The subject is taught to all students from Yr 7-9, then is an option at GCSE. The School has a sixth form attached, and as a practitioner you would be expected to teach Eduqas A-Level and BTEC. Community projects and live performances are extra-curricular commitments the school makes to their students, with regular performances at local events and music productions.

Teaching: KS3/5 Music + General Cover. Roughly a 60:40 split.
Contract: Maternity until the end of the year. 5 days per week.
