Our client specializes in Solar and Battery storage projects on a utility scale and have been a constant presence in the global renewable energy market for over 20 years.They work in an IPP model - taking projects from initial inception, through the development phase, constructing the projects and finally owning and operating their renewable energy assets. Working with this company gives you exposure to the full project lifecycle, and complete involvement in the net-zero transition.Their UK team sits at just under 40 heads across land acquisition, planning consents, project management, grid connection, project design, and construction. You would be contributing to a rapidly growing pipeline in the UK and with the current growth in the sector, it is a great time to be joining up with their team!They are looking to add to their existing planning team in the UK to assist their Lead Planner on the pre-consent side of things. They currently have 10 TCPA projects ongoing as well as other NSIPs. Your role is crucial to securing planning consents for their pipeline and driving forward project development.Your role as a Renewable Energy Planner would include:* Review and management of planning applications both within the TCPA and NSIP system.* Working with external planning consultants and making sure that the planning application runs smoothly.* Playing a key role in the stakeholder management and public consultation process to ensure planning viability.* Liaising with land and grid experts throughout the development process to ensure site feasibility and ongoing project success.If you are currently working in the planning sector and have between two- and five-years' experience, this would be a fantastic opportunity to join up with one of the most reputable global players in the renewable energy sector.
