Clinical Lead Nurse - RGN - Elderly Care - Retirement Village - £48k to £50k + excellent benefits - Central London - Contract or Permanent

This is an opportunity to join a beautiful and historic village for elderly residents, located within vast beautiful gardens, listed buildings and wonderful caring staff. The Clinical Lead Nurse will instil a culture of continuous improvement through dialogue with the Residential Pensioners and their families and colleagues. You will be able to demonstrate experience in managing and developing staff, alongside leadership capabilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to plan, implement and evaluate evidence based nursing care for the Pensioners. You must also have up to date knowledge of the CQC fundamental standards

SALARY ETC:

  • £48k to £50k per annum.
  • 42.5 hours a week , including paid lunch breaks

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have full right to wrok in the UK (Not able to offer sponsorship)
  • Experience working with elderly patients in the Hospital, Care and or Nursing Home,
  • To be registered with the NMC (RGN) with substantial post registration experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a friendly and empathetic nature.
  • Ability to carry out holistic care need assessment,
  • Ability to delegate tasks and make sure that Ward runs smoothly.
  • Medication, Catheterization, and Phlebotomy competency

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

  • Demonstrate effective and approachable clinical leadership to nursing and care staff.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Care Quality Commission`s Fundamental Standards and your role in meeting compliance with these standards.
  • Ensure all care plans are completed comprehensively and reviewed monthly by allocated names nurses.
  • Assist Ward Manager in auditing clinical quality of the care services monthly.
  • Provide clinical individual and group supervisions for staff following an incident/error.
  • Monitor the ordering, receipt, storage, administration and disposal of medication is in line with NMC Standards.
  • Support staff nurses and care staff in their shift management and communication with family and friends. Deal effectively with their concerns/complaints liaising with the Ward Manager or Matron as appropriate.
  • Oversee and support staff with new admissions including assessment and documentation.
  • Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with the Pensioners` personal and financial affairs.
  • Report immediately any safeguarding concerns or any other inappropriate or unprofessional behaviour.
  • Support Clinical Training and Assurance Lead in the delivering and monitoring mandatory training.
  • Participate in Dury Nurse and Duty Matron on call rota for 24/7 support to Clinical Teams.
  • Ability to Deputise for Ward Manager when required.
