GP Practice Nurse

£32,000 - £35,000 pro rata for 30 hours per week
(£25,600 - £28,000 for 30 hours)
We are seeking a Practice Nurse with one year of experience to join our team near Nine Elms Underground Station. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive care in all areas of General Practice Nursing.
Key Requirements:
General Practice Experience: One year of experience required
NMC Registration: Must be a registered General Nurse with full NMC registration
Qualifications and Certificates: Preferred qualifications include Diabetic Check, Medication Review, Child Immunisation & Travel immunisation, Cervical Smear, COPD review, Spirometry, Ear syringing, and administration of Flu/Pnuemo/B12/Covid injections, Zoladex/Prostap. Prescribing collation distinct advantage
Skills and Training: Must have the necessary skills and training to run spirometry, diabetes, smoking cessation, and travel clinics
Chronic Disease Management: Competent in managing chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension
Health Promotion: Active in health promotion and patient education
Minor Surgery: Able to assist GPs with minor surgery
Complex Dressings: Experienced in complex dressings
IT Systems: Proficient in working with IT systems, including GP clinical systems such as EMIS and Office software
Main Duties:
Deliver care in all areas of General Practice Nursing, including travel and child vaccinations, family planning, and cytology
Assist GPs with minor surgery and other clinical procedures
Run clinics for spirometry, diabetes, smoking cessation, and travel health
Conduct health checks, medication reviews, and other preventive care services
Participate in health promotion and patient education initiatives
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
To successfully apply for this role, you must have one year of experience working in General Practice and be committed to professional development.
