Tezlom are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to work within a prison based in North London.

A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:

  • To assess health and social care needs and negotiate care plans with patients and staff
  • To undertake risk assessments
  • To work within the Prison Service safer custody framework for managing Suicide and self-harm
  • To work closely with other departments to ensure that all risks are assessed and managed.
  • To function fully within the Integrated Mental Health Team, assessing and treating patients through their journey in prison.
  • To accept referrals and triage patients with the team.
  • To undertake comprehensive assessments
  • To provide effective case management
  • To ensure effective pre-release care planning

Requirements of the Prison RMN/Nurse:

  • Relevant nursing qualification and an active NMC Registration (Mental Health)
  • Ideally you must have Prison Clearance and experience working within a prison
