We are currently working with a private hospital in East London, who are looking for a Surgical Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to join their dynamic department.
As a Surgical Ward Sister, you will:
- Support the Senior Sister/ Ward Manager in the efficient running of the ward
- Co-ordinate activity and be responsible for patient care and safety
- Be instrumental to the patient experience, ensuring seamless, personalised care
- Work well with consultants who are experts in their field
- Apply your knowledge and skills in assessment, care planning and delivery
- Champion a supportive, enabling working culture on the ward, promoting staff safety
What we need from you:
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a valid NMC Pin number.
- Experience in surgical or acute care settings.
- Leadership skills to manage and support a team of nurses.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and patient care standards.
- Ability to handle emergencies and make quick decisions.
- Organizational skills for managing patient care plans and ward operations.
- Commitment to maintaining hygiene and safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Continuing education to stay updated with nursing practices.
