Room Leader

It is my pleasure to announce that we are working on behalf of a quality family-run Nursery based near Mortlake, London. This stimulating and caring environment are looking for an experienced Room Leader to support the organic growth they are seeing.

The successful applicant must have a minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification or equivalent, and be of real quality and have a true passion for childcare. As well as having a true understanding that each child is unique and therefore strive to ensure each child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the pattern of the daily room routine, managing sufficient staff ratios and associated rotas within the room
  • Deliver outstanding learning opportunities and exceptional care
  • Committed to ensuring your key children learn and develop at their own pace
  • Plan and provide effective teaching and learning
  • To role-model all safeguarding procedures and the importance of child welfare, constantly re-enforcing a clear culture of safeguarding
  • Great Knowledge of EYFS
  • Communicate with colleagues, parents/carers to meet the individual needs of the children
  • To support your room team in delivering high-quality observations, assessments and planning for the children within your care;
  • Make accurate and effective assessments of the children during the stages of development
  • To ensure that daily Health and Safety related tasks/checks happen promptly and thoroughly, with any specific concerns identified raised to management
  • To role model outstanding nursery practice at all times
