Key responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted finance partner to the Sales and Marketing teams, providing strategic financial insights, support, and challenge to key decisions and initiatives. Build strong relationships with these stakeholders to ensure alignment and drive collaboration.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to evaluate new opportunities, forecast performance, and support strategic decision-making. Provide scenario analysis to assess risks, opportunities, and potential outcomes.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights by producing concise reporting and storytelling that enables non-finance stakeholders to understand trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Analyse financial and operational performance to identify opportunities for growth, cost efficiencies, and profitability. Proactively provide recommendations to support strategic priorities and operational decision-making.
- Lead analysis on product, client, and channel profitability, identifying trends and opportunities to optimise revenue streams and cost structures.
- Collaborate with business leaders to prepare rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and strategic plans, ensuring they align with corporate objectives and reflect market conditions.
- Assess the financial feasibility of projects and investments, ensuring all initiatives are aligned with strategic priorities and deliver a positive ROI.
- Present financial findings and strategic insights to senior leadership and non-finance audiences, ensuring clarity, credibility, and relevance.
Requirements:
- Strong academic background and clear proven progression.
- Strong experience in building and maintaining financial models to support business planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Comfortable influencing stakeholders, building relationships, and driving financial strategy in a collaborative setting.
- Experience within advisory, investment banking, M&A, transaction services/corporate finance from a Big 4 environment or finance graduate scheme at a sizable organisation.
