ER Advisor | 6 month FTC | £36k - £40k | Hybrid working

A well-known charity in London is recruiting for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join their team on a 6 month FTC to support with clearing a backlog of ER cases.

This role will work on a hybrid basis from their London office, and pair with an HR Business Partner to work through a variety of cases and provide support to both employees and managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise managers and employees on ER issues including sickness/absence, disciplinary, grievance etc
  • Support the HR Business Partner with complex ER cases including note-taking, advising on policy, and conducting investigations
  • Support with reviewing and updating ER policies and processes, ensuring they are reflective of latest employment law
  • Generate reports on employee data, and work with the HR Business Partner to identify trends and formulate interventionist measures to avoid formal ER cases in the future

Experience required:

  • Proven experience in an employee relations role, or a generalist HR role with significant ER responsibilities
  • Demonstrable knowledge of latest employment law and best practice
  • Experience working within a large charity or non-profit organisation
  • Excellent communication, discretion, and advisory skills
