We are seeking an HR Business Insight Advisor to join the London Fire Brigade on an immediate, ongoing temporary basis. This role is pivotal in providing HR insights and interventions to complex people issues, collaborating with managers and HR Business Partners to deliver people plans that support the delivery of business objectives and contribute to an inclusive organisation.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners to provide coaching, advice, and guidance on management activities impacting business objectives.
  • Act as a vital link between the business and HR teams, offering a two-way channel for positive challenge and feedback.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on HR policies, providing proactive support through upskilling sessions and one-to-one support in complex cases.
  • Leverage data analytics and insights to identify trends, drive innovation, and foster improvement within the business.
  • Engage senior leaders using reports and dashboards to address areas of concern identified through HR management information.
  • Review, analyse, and report on HR management information, identifying key challenges and risks.
  • Provide positive challenge to planning activities to ensure they are well considered and implemented effectively.
  • Offer second-line support and expert advice for complex queries relating to HR policies.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to support people services, develop manager capability, and maintain HR best practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in HR, with the ability to provide insights and interventions to complex people issues.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analytics and reporting.
  • Ability to provide coaching, advice, and guidance on management activities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Experience in supporting managers with complex queries relating to performance, capability, resource management, probation, and sickness.
