HR Business Partner, Group

Office Location: Triton Street

This role will benefit from our Hays Balanced Working agreement so will be based in our Triton Street office and from home. There will be occasional travel to our offices in other locations, as and when required.

Your New Role

The new HR Business Partner, Group will be responsible for delivering proactive, commercial, and effective HR partnering to enable the strategic priorities of Hays. This role supports several of our Group functions, for example Technology, Group Finance, Group Marketing, Group People, Company Secretariat & Legal, and Group Product, Innovation & Data.

Reporting into the Head of HR. Group you will act as a thinking partner, key advisor and collaborator to these senior management teams, many of which are in different phases of evolution and change. You will work closely with them to shape, develop and deliver HR plans and solutions that drive the required business outcomes, enhancing employee experience and fostering a high performing culture. Alongside this you will be bring your expertise to enable delivery of key HR initiatives from across the HR spectrum, including organisation design and effectiveness, attracting, developing & retaining talent, employee relations, creating highly engaged and high performing teams, enabling and supporting change, and driving progress on our DEI and wellbeing agenda.

Knowledge, qualifications and experience

  • Experience operating as a HR business partner to senior stakeholders, ideally in a federated global organisation going through organisation change around processes, technology and people
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, able to communicate and partner effectively with a variety of stakeholders in different functions
  • Good commercial acumen, leadership and transformational skills
  • Experience of delivery of Organisation Design change and other people-impacting change projects
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • An up-to-date and working knowledge of employment legislation, ideally with some knowledge of jurisdictions outside of the UK.
  • Pragmatic: able to deliver HR guidance in a fast paced, complex environment, and communicates clearly and openly to win support.
  • Business focused; able to deliver commercial solutions which also fit HR best practice requirements and demonstrate excellent operational planning skills
  • Highly organised
  • Able to problem solve and challenge the 'norm' whilst operating to HR best practice guidelines
  • Comfortable with analysing data, identifying trends and making appropriate recommendations
  • CIPD qualified desirable but not essential
