Regional Health and Safety Advisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading Electrical Engineering contractor as a Regional Health and Safety Advisor. This national company provides electrical engineering services to a range of clients in various industries from property and the built environment to universities, manufacturing to renewables. The organisation has an extensive track record of successful operation in the UK and this is an excellent opportunity to join the expanding Health and Safety Team.

The sites are predominantly are Central London / inside the M25. The role will be hybrid mix of home working, site based and from the office in Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a health and safety professional to further develop their career, responsibilities for the Regional Health and Safety Advisor will include:

  • Carrying out site inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and working with the team to implement these
  • Keeping up to date with SHE legislation and company policies and procedures, and ensure that the site teams are following these
  • Liaising with site management, offering health and safety advice as necessary and attending regular health and safety meetings
  • Leading accident/incident investigations for your area

The successful Regional Health and Safety Advisor candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the wider construction industry
  • A NEBOSH, or NVQ qualification, at or above certificate level (or equivalent) and relevant membership of IOSH
  • The ability to influence and engage a range of stakeholders and comfortable working at site
  • A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulations

This position will require a self starter who can lead by example and hit the ground running; excellent communication skills are essential.
