Job Title: Band 6 Occupational Therapist - Assertive Outreach Team (part time, Locum)

Location: Camden, London

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our Assertive Outreach Team, providing essential support for clients with complex mental health needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, report writing, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure comprehensive care for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and functional assessments to identify client needs and strengths.
  • Perform home visits to assess and support clients in their living environments.
  • Write detailed reports that inform treatment plans and care pathways.
  • Collaborate closely with the head Occupational Therapist and other members of the MDT to ensure integrated care delivery.
  • Provide interventions that promote recovery and enhance clients' ability to engage in daily activities.
  • Liaise with external agencies and community resources to support client needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with service standards.

Qualifications:

  • A recognized degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration is essential.
  • Experience working in a community setting, particularly with assertive outreach teams.
  • Previous experience in a hospital environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience working with clients experiencing psychosis and long-term chronic mental health needs is highly beneficial.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and their families.
