Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist to manage a complex caseload of patients with neurological conditions. The role involves comprehensive assessments, treatment, and rehabilitation to support patient recovery and promote independence.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a complex caseload of acute neurological and neurosurgical patients.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver individualized rehabilitation programs for neuro trauma and other neurological conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, speech therapists, and medical professionals, to ensure holistic care.
- Apply specialized occupational therapy interventions to facilitate and support patient recovery.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adapting treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate and support patients, families, and caregivers on rehabilitation goals and long-term management strategies.
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum 2 years of post-registration experience, with significant focus on neurological and neurosurgical rehabilitation.
- Experience managing a complex caseload in an acute setting.
- Expertise in neuro trauma rehabilitation (highly desirable).
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- NHS or equivalent healthcare experience.
