Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist to manage a complex caseload of patients with neurological conditions. The role involves comprehensive assessments, treatment, and rehabilitation to support patient recovery and promote independence.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a complex caseload of acute neurological and neurosurgical patients.
Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver individualized rehabilitation programs for neuro trauma and other neurological conditions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, speech therapists, and medical professionals, to ensure holistic care.
Apply specialized occupational therapy interventions to facilitate and support patient recovery.
Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adapting treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
Educate and support patients, families, and caregivers on rehabilitation goals and long-term management strategies.

Requirements

HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
Minimum 2 years of post-registration experience, with significant focus on neurological and neurosurgical rehabilitation.
Experience managing a complex caseload in an acute setting.
Expertise in neuro trauma rehabilitation (highly desirable).
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
NHS or equivalent healthcare experience.
