Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the rehabilitation team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust. The role involves managing a caseload of 12-15 patients, supervising rehab support workers and students, and delivering evidence-based care to promote recovery and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs in an acute hospital setting.
- Develop and deliver personalized treatment plans to promote recovery and functional independence.
- Supervise and support rehab support workers and occupational therapy students.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, physiotherapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and carers throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to discharge planning using EPIC systems.
Key Requirements:
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in rehabilitation within an acute hospital setting.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload of 12-15 patients.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to high standards of patient care and professional development.
