- Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Band 7) – Acute Medicine

- Duration: 3-month contract (with potential for extension)

What You’ll Be Doing:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to step into a senior role within a dynamic Acute Medicine team. The successful candidate will:
- Provide specialist assessment and intervention for patients with acute medical conditions
- Manage a varied caseload, supporting timely and effective discharge planning
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure a holistic approach to patient care
- Implement rehabilitation programmes and functional assessments to support patient independence
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and contribute to service development initiatives
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants should have:
- Current and valid HCPC registration
- Experience working within acute hospital settings, ideally in acute/general medicine
- Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills
- The ability to work autonomously and within a fast-paced MDT environment
- A strong focus on safe discharge planning and patient-centered care
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
The role offers full-time hours, Monday to Friday, but part-time applications are welcome. The contract is initially for 3 months, with high potential for extension based on service demand and performance.
