Occupational Therapist - SEN School (Permanent)

Location: Kensington, LondonStart Date: September 2025Vacancies: 2 (1 Full-Time, 1 Part-Time)

Salary: £37,000-49,000

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapists to join our friendly and supportive team at our specialist SEN school in Kensington. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young pupils with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, and Speech and Language difficulties.

Role Description:You will be responsible for providing tailored occupational therapy interventions to primary-aged pupils with a range of SEN needs. Your expertise will play a crucial role in supporting students to develop and achieve their potential in both their academic and social environments. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop individualized therapy plans for students with various SEN needs.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to support students' sensory, motor, and functional skills.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide holistic support.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of school-based interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress.
  • Support students in their learning environment to improve their independence and wellbeing.

Person Specification:

  • HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.
  • At least 1 year of experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably with children or young people with special educational needs.
  • A strong understanding of the specific needs of students with ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, and Speech and Language difficulties.
  • Passionate about working in an educational setting and making a positive impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
