Occupational Therapist - SEN School (Permanent)

Salary: £37,000-49,000

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapists to join our friendly and supportive team at our specialist SEN school in Kensington. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young pupils with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, and Speech and Language difficulties.

Role Description:You will be responsible for providing tailored occupational therapy interventions to primary-aged pupils with a range of SEN needs. Your expertise will play a crucial role in supporting students to develop and achieve their potential in both their academic and social environments. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and develop individualized therapy plans for students with various SEN needs.
Provide therapeutic interventions to support students' sensory, motor, and functional skills.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide holistic support.
Contribute to the planning and delivery of school-based interventions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress.
Support students in their learning environment to improve their independence and wellbeing.

Person Specification:

HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.
At least 1 year of experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably with children or young people with special educational needs.
A strong understanding of the specific needs of students with ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, and Speech and Language difficulties.
Passionate about working in an educational setting and making a positive impact.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
A commitment to ongoing professional development.
