Newham
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our clients team in Newham to support with caseloads of complex or Discharge to Home Care (DHC) cases as needed.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Reablement Officers (ROs) to enhance their Trusted Assessor (TA) skills and sign off on equipment competencies.
- Conduct in-house training on basic equipment and revisit competencies for ROs prescribing fewer items.
- Expand the use of Reablement strategies, including equipment recommendations, minor and major adaptations, fatigue management, falls prevention, and activity analysis.
- Pilot joint goal-setting visits with ROs to evaluate the impact on reducing care needs and expanding referral scope.
Requirements:
- Must have at least Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and have HCPC registration.
