Senior Occupational Therapist ( OT ) - Neuro Rehabilitation Hospital
Location: Clapham, South West London (SW16)
Salary: £35,392 - £50,056 per annum (paid breaks)
Hours: Full Time and Part Time hours available (standard full time contract is 40 hours per week, but there is flexibility for other contract hour arrangements)

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, in this role you will provide specialised assessments and develop personalised treatment plans for clients with complex conditions, including neurological, musculoskeletal, and mental health disorders. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care and prescribe appropriate equipment to enhance client independence.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Conduct assessments and create treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, speech therapists, and other professionals.
- Provide compassionate care to clients with complex needs, including behavioural challenges.
- Organise and manage your own caseload, supervising junior staff and students.
- Develop and deliver educational sessions and contribute to service development.
- Lead clinical audits, research, and governance projects.
- Maintain detailed patient records and ensure adherence to professional standards.
Requirements
Essential:
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy & HCPC registration
- 2+ years' experience in Neurology, Rehabilitation and/or a Stroke Unit
- Expertise in assessing and treating adults with complex neurological conditions, including acquired brain injury
- Experience in multi-disciplinary team working and client-centred goal-setting
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication and report writing skills
- Ability to work under pressure with high attention to detail
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification, RCOT Neuro membership
- Experience in neurological rehabilitation and supervising staff/students
- Competencies in hydrotherapy, sensory integration and casting
- Knowledge of NIXE/RCOT guidelines and working with Social Services and private patients
