Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Acute Medicine & Care of the Elderly (COE) team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The role involves expert assessment, intervention, and discharge planning in a fast-paced acute hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions for patients in acute medical and elderly care settings.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Support timely discharge planning, ensuring continuity of care and promoting patient independence.
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with NHS standards and guidelines.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within the Occupational Therapy department.
- Minimum 18 months of post-qualification experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Previous NHS experience is essential.
- Strong skills in acute medicine and elderly care rehabilitation.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage a complex caseload.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
